(And Why Should I Care?)
http://brazenart.com/podcast_media/TwT_005.mp3
An interview with Jesse James Garrett, President and co-founder of Adaptive Path.
Show Length: 21 minutes
Some describe it as making things easy and enjoyable to use. Others describe it as all the elements that impact someone’s perception of a product or system. Jesse James Garrett says it’s a lot like going on a great first date.
For those who haven’t heard of it before: You’ll be surprise by how much it impacts your life.
For those who know it well: Believe it or not, the complexity made simple. You’ll finally know what to say in the elevator when someone asks you what you do for a living.

Thx for posting and sharing … but am I being blind – where is the hyperlink to download – “Click here to download podcast” ??
Here, this is a good explenation:

@Holger: At the top of the page you see a sound icon. Next post should be: usability design
Yikes! Yes, indeed — in my flurry to post, I didn’t create the hyperlink for download. It’s up now…thanks for the heads up!
And thanks for the article – a good supplement to the more generalized/big picture approach we went for in this podcast. This would be a great read for those who want to dig deeper, as well as Whitney Hess’ 10 Most Common Misconceptions About User Experience Design.
Great interview Teresa!

Thanks, Gina…
Fantastic! I wish this were done a while ago so I could definitively dispel all of the managerial misconceptions of UX.
@compoundj: Hey thanks, that’s great feedback…and what we hoped for, so nice to hear.
thx a lot for adding the hyperlink – so I could listened to it during my journey home – sound, substance and interviewing = high quality __ I’m looking forward to the next “tea”
Teresa, thanks so much for the link love. Hope you enjoyed the article.
@Holger: You are very welcome. I’m so glad you came back to download (am actually about to post a version that is a smaller size/easier to download, speaking of user experience…).
Whitney: You are most welcome. It was a great blog, and I was happy to share it.

Excellent podcast.. we do the same thing but for the hospitality industry. We call the concept “hedonics”. In short, it’s simply good business… to make people “feel good”.
Thanks, Peter. Never heard of hedonics…off to the internet I go…
Hey Teresa,
Another brilliant podcast, my friend! Keeps getting better; you’re a natural.
